Strand Lakeside Residences guests have chosen to stay in a privately owned home and not in hotel-style accommodations. It is important to realize that this type of accommodation is self-catering and does not have a front desk.
In the event of a home becoming uninhabitable or similar such event, Strand Lakeside Resort reserves the right to substitute another similar property for the one, which has been booked. If no other similar property is available, Strand Lakeside Residences reserves the right to return all monies paid.
A non-refundable 10% deposit is due at the time of booking. The balance of payment is automatically charged 45 days prior to arrival. The credit card used for the deposit will also be used for the balance unless prior notice of a change is given. All minimum nights stay requirements and nightly rates in effect at the time of booking apply to that booking.
A confirmation letter containing the standard terms regarding deposits, payments, cancellations and security deposit is provided upon booking
Should you change your vacation dates or requirements, an administration charge of $125.00 will be applied, to each and every change to the original booking.

Credit Card Charges
A charge of $25.00 (Canadian or CDN) will be applied for use of more than one credit card for payment of each reservation. Credit card fees will be charged in the case of refund or change in booking.
Each reservation will be required to sign a pre-authorization credit card slip ($500 CDN – $1000 CDN) upon check-in. Provided no charges are incurred for excess cleaning, property damage or telephone calls, the credit card slip will be voided approximately 4 weeks after departure.
Extra Person Charges
Every property is priced with a maximum of 2 adults per bedroom. Additional guests will be charged $25.00 (CDN) per person per night. Please note there is a maximum number of guests allowed in each property.
Cancellations made prior to 45 days of arrival will be charged the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made within 45 days of arrival will be charged a minimum of the non-refundable deposit and will forfeit the entire payment if a replacement booking is not found.
Guests have chosen to stay in a privately owned home and not in hotel-style accommodations, consequently we do not have a Front Desk, therefore, check-in is between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6.00 pm. Your check-in location will be detailed in the reservation confirmation letter. Any changes to the check-in location will be communicated to you prior to arrival.
If you are unable to arrive before 6:00pm, due to road closures, or airport delays, please contact our office to make special arrangements. Otherwise, a late check in charge will be applied.
Our self-catering properties will be clean and ready for your arrival. Daily housekeeping is available for an extra fee. All properties have laundry facilities in the unit. On check out, ALL Garbage and Recyclables will be removed from the unit and placed in the appropriate containers, also the unit left in a tidy condition, other wise extra charges will be applied.
Checkout time is 11.00 am, we are unable to extend this time due to the fact that we may have vacationers checking into the same unit. a late checkout charge will be applied should the unit not be vacated by 11.00 am.
Adequate quantities of towels are provided for the number of people booked. Guests will be responsible for any towels misplaced or lost at the beach and/or pool. Please remember that the linens and towels are also all privately owned, as is the home you have booked. Guests should bring their own pool/beach towels.
All Strand Lakeside Resort properties are equipped with bed and bath linens, kitchens are equipped with crockery, pots, pans, coffee maker
